Why do people believe in supernatural things if they have science?

    I think, there are many explanations, it really depends on a person and what he/she is beliving in.
    Some people just find things like ghosts, demons etc. intriguing, it gives them a little taste of adrenaline. In case of the religion, some people belive in God/Gods just because their parents taught to do so and not beliving in that religion is seen as abnormal in the society they are living in. They don't want to be uniqe. In a lot of situations religion can also make your life easier. You can pretend like you are actually not alone with your problems, because "God is with you and he guides you through your life". There is also a quite big interest in astrology in today's world. The reason for that is propably because it gives you the ability to kind of look into the future. It may also make your life easier, because now you can find reasons why things are not going well in yor life, for example "MERCURY RETROGRADATION".
     Honestly, it really is a personal thing, what are you beliving and not beliving in and usually every person has his/her own, different interpretation of how they understand a certain religion or other supernatural thing.

I think I should make clear, that I don't belive in any religion or other supernatural things, but I respect it, if you are. I hope you didn't take what I have written too personal. I just gave popular examples of behaviors in terms of supernatural things, but I'm not trying to say that you are one of these examples. Have a nice day

Reflection

    For all the years in school, I had this big problem, that on the tests from some subjects, especially maths, I could pretty much never finish the test in time, which resulted in not doing tasks that I usually would be I able to do, if I had just a little more time. Nowadays I stil have this problem and it came to the point, that on the math tests I lose at least about 20-25% points because I can't make it in time and usually I would be able to do these tasks if I had more time. It leads to a reflection, why does the school put such emphasis on our timing? Is the time so important? Isn't knowledge enough?
